Chinese: Imperial
Garden in Greystone Village is a small restaurant with a
very pleasant atmosphere and wonderful food. The prices
are very reasonable and the service always good. It is
near the Springmoor Retirement community so it has to
good. Springmoor attracts people from all over the country
and you will see many of their folks eating at Imperial - a
heavy endorsement. My favorite is their Szechuan Style Pork.

Italian Food: Piccola Italia in Cameron Village
and Andy's Pizza in Quail Corners. Both of these are Tops
in Italian food and are family own and family run. The
tomato sauce at Piccola is heavenly and the crust a little
thicker than Andy's. Piccola also has great Calzones,
Eggplant Parm. and others. Andy's Pizza is a little more on the
spicy side and has many great Italian dishes. Piccola: (919)

Middle Eastern Cuisine: Neomonde on Beryl Road, near
Meredith College. Another great place to eat and owned and
operated by family. You will think you stepped into the
old world when you eat there. A busy place for lunch and

Altoona Hotel Restaurant - This small restaurant is famous
for many Italian dishes, but especially the Eggplant Parmesan.
I haven't been there in a few years, but my last visit confirmed
that it serves some of the best Italian food south of
Italy. Fresh homemade soups, "white" pizza - you
will not be disappointed. You will also experience
of the locals as you see everything from Mercedes Benz to
well-loved pick-up trucks in the parking lot. Altoona,
